Why is the bar not showing up on my website?

There are a couple of reasons why the bar may not be showing up on your website such as:

• Theme Compatibility
• "Visitors only see once" setting
• Geolocation Targeting
• Shopify Markets Targeting
• Multiple Bar Apps installed

Let's explore them one by one!

Themes

The bar might not be compatible with your theme with the default settings. In these cases, we have provided the "Custom placement" option, using this option could make the bar compatible with different themes. You would need to customize the position of the bar through the app block or insert the placeholder code into your theme liquid file.

Visitors only see once

If you use the Daily countdown timer and set the "Visitor Will Only See One Recurring Cycle" to Yes, the same visitors will only see one cycle for the countdown. Therefore, if you have already viewed the countdown timer before, you will not see it again after one cycle.

If you use the Interval and Session countdown timers and set the "Hide recurring timer to repeat customers" to Yes, the same visitors who have seen the timer cycle will not see another one during the campaign.

Geolocation Targeting

If you have set the bar for certain countries but are not currently in one of these countries, then the bar will not be displayed to you. 

To resolve the issue, you could either update the target countries or use a VPN/Proxy to get an IP address belonging to one of the selected locations.

Shopify Markets Targeting

Similar to Geolocation targeting, if you've restricted the bar to specific Shopify Markets and you're not browsing from one of those regions, the bar won't appear.

To fix this, you can either adjust the target markets or switch the market on your store to match one of the targeted regions.

You have installed our Bar Apps from Hextom such as FSB, QAB, and ECB

All our bar Apps (FSB, QAB, ECB, CTB) can work together. If you would like to have more than one of them displayed on the same page at the same time. There are 2 methods:

1. Place the bars in different positions. For example, the FSB bar is displayed at the top of the page and then the CTB bar is displayed at the bottom of the page.

2. You could use the "Custom placement" option. With this feature, you could place both bars in the desired positions in your theme.

After selecting this option in the app, you would need to go to your theme liquid file and insert the placeholder to your desired position in the theme. For a step-by-step guide, kindly click this link.
